Late Debesh Chandra Majumder was a retired selection Grade Lecturer of Banwarilal Bhalotia College, Asansol, West Bengal, India. In 1997 he came in contact with the then Secretary, Swami Girishanandaji Maharaj, Rama Krishna Mission, Asansol. It is with Maharaj’s presence and blessings which helped him to establish the first self financed Pharmacy College at the Old Ashram School, Asansol. This college started in September 2000 and gradually established itself as a pioneer institution of pharmacy, not only in West Bengal but also all over India. The institution has congenial environment for education and research work. To promote the growth of pharmaceutical science and research, he decided to publish an open access, peer reviewed international journal in the name of Journal of PharmaSCiTech in both print and electronic version in the year 2011. Since the commencement of this publication, he has been the chief advisor & patron of the editorial board. Unfortunately, last December 2016, he paid the debt of nature. It is with his blessings and passion, Mrs. Susmita Chakraborty took over the charge thereafter.
